Movie Night: HANNAH and DIARY OF A WIMPY KID

The first movie I've seen tonight. I was actually debating whether or not to see it. I was standing in line and looking at the time and schedules when the movies are playing and the movie has started five, ten minutes ago. In a movie, the one I am very keen on seeing are the trailers preceding the feature film thus by this time whilst I'm waiting in line the trailers are done. But then after much contemplation I went in (instead of hunting for a sweatshirt hoodie). The movie started off as I saw it in theatres last March when i saw the movie The Eagle. A kid raised up by her father up in the Arctic circle. Well, i guess, you can do the homework with the story at imdb.com.

The movie focused more on the revenge plotted by the father against the CIA agent who killed his wife by using his kid as a bait and a weapon. Basically that is what you'll be led to see when you see the trailer but then the plot changes and now the kid happens to be nobody else's daughter but just merely a weapon raised by the agency's secret facility to promote enhancement and development of fearless soldiers. With many questions unanswered as to how the father get hold of the kid and why the project has been shut down and whether the agency found out the rogue agent's wrongdoings. None of them were explained during and after the film.

Being a huge fan, of sci- fi and spy/ counter spy movies like the Bourne Series, Salt and Alias. I was expecting more to this movie in those tone but sadly I was disappointed.

The next movie was a kid's / teen movie. . . definitely not a chick flick guys. . .
Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Rodrick Rules.

The movie focuses on the relationship of two brothers and their growing battle with differences and just "growing up". Last year, i enjoyed the first movie of the series where the brother, Rodrick was introduced as a happy go lucky brother to Greg Heffly. Being the middle son in the movie was very frustrating for Greg. I cannot tell how a middle kid feels, I am the oldest kid in my brood. Should i resemble Rodrick then? hahaha,

I've always wondered how it'd be with an older brother. That might be just so cool. Well I do have older brothers here and there even though they're aren't my blood brothers. In the same way, the brothers in this movie were able to settle their differences and the growing distance by simply being themselves and caring for one another, covering for each other but got busted, trying NOT to kill one another, but in the end, after all the bickering and taunting by Rodrick to Greg it is implied that he cared so much for his younger brother and his well being and vice versa.

I guess sometimes our care for the people around us, especially those important to us shouldn't have to be told or said. Sometimes, the bickering and teasing and arguing between siblings are just their "thing" to show that they really care and that they are just around us. It doesn't necessarily mean that they don't like us or they think low about us but just a cool way of being themselves yet not going to the drama part. With that, I agree. NO DRAMA.

Well, so much so for my first blog. I think I will go for another episode or two of Kyle XY and Sorcerer Hunters. This is me on a good day, and early morning, in California.

signing off.
